Abstract
‘Out in the Country presents a dynamic account of rural queer life that is often surprising and very engaging. With stories of drag parties at a Wal-Mart and queercore concerts at a Methodist skate park, the text is as lively as it is informative. Gray positions her work as filling a gap in existing literature, and it does so with clarity and wit.’Keywords:
